Kamu Orugaron
An easy description for Kamu Orugaron would be an enormous black wolf with saber teeth, having a blonde and slightly red mohawk running down its back. It is confirmed that the Orugarons are Pelagus.
The Kamu Orugaron is male, proved by its female counterpart the Nono Orugaron, much like the Teostra and Lunastra, or the Rathalos and Rathian. Interestingly though, these new monsters are designed for a new kind of combat, as it would seem that unlike Rathalos and Rathian, who just fly around and occasionally meet, Kamu and Nono stay with each other throughout the full course of the quest. It also seems they can attack almost simultaneously, with either the same move or moves that could cut the hunter off. The Kamu appears to be stronger than the Nono. Kamu can also be hunted on its own, and will occasionally separate from its partner mid-quest.
The attacks that can be identified as of now is a wind blast, a spinning move, jumping high and throwing spikes from his back, or jumping on top of the hunter, a forward lunge followed by it turning around and lunging again, a 180 degree bite, and most interestingly, a roar which increases the attack power of each other, while dealing a large amount of damage. The helping nature of this attack could mean that they help each other in more ways than just harming the hunter, say if one was weak, then the other may defend it as it sleeps.
The Orugaron's wind blast are both straight and forward, the difference is his blasts have a longer reach. When enraged, Kamu Orugaron starts with a strengthening roar with red aura appearing, then its legs and its mohawk turns bright red.
Nono Orugaron
Resembling an enormous white wolf with saber teeth, and with a blonde and slightly red mohawk running down its back, this is a wolf-like Pelagus monster found only in Monster Hunter Frontier.
The Nono Orugaron is female, and often seen with its male counterpart the Kamu Orugaron (much like the Teostra and Lunastra, or the Rathalos and Rathian). Interestingly though, these new monsters are designed for a new kind of combat, as it would seem unlike Rathalos and Rathian, that Kamu and Nono stay with each other throughout the full course of the quest. They also attack almost simultaneously, with either the same move or moves that could cut the hunter off.
However, sometimes the player is requested to hunt Nono Orugaron on its own, and at other times, it will seperate from Kamu Orugaron mid-quest.
Their attacks include a wind blast, a spinning move, jumping high and throwing what appears to rock shards, or jumping on top of the hunter, a forward lunge followed by it turning around and lunging again, a 180 degree bite, and most interestingly, a roar which increases the attack power of each other, whilst dealing a large amount of damage.
Aoashira
Aoashira (アオアシラ), the first bear-like monster in the Monster Hunter series. It will first appear in Monster Hunter Freedom 3. It seems to be fond of honey, as seen in the trailer. Also seen wandering near streams, it may also eat fish like a real bear. Despite its size, it can attack quickly. Its main attack seen to be a Paw swipe with a windgust for extending reach to the hunters. Though it inhabits the Mountain Stream with the Jinouga, the two don't compete for food as the Aoashira eats fish and honey while the Jinouga is a predator.
Jinouga
Jinouga (ジンオウガ) is the flagship monster for the newly announced, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. It is also known as the Thunder Wolf (雷狼竜). Jinouga has incredibly developed strong limbs, sharp fangs and claws. Front legs are extremely powerful and can kill prey in one brutal blow.
